Our Facility

Our Main Facility at a Glance:

Our entire main building underwent a major renovation in 1999 and is fully accessible. The chapel, conference rooms, dining areas, gift shop and offices are all on a single floor.  The individual retreatant's rooms are either on the main floor or easily accessible by elevator.  We have one wheel-chair accesible room.  Four rooms have seated showers, assist-bars in the shower and assist bars at the commode.  22 additional rooms have assist bars in the showers.  There is an ample, lighted & paved parking lot for our guests

  • Two spacious conference rooms:  Both rooms have natural light, comfortable padded seating and include some smaller sofa areas for less formal seating. The larger has a fireplace, soundsytem and drop-down projector screens.  It is normally set up for about 70, but can be arranged to seat up to 140.  The smaller conference room can seat about 45.
  • Two separate dining rooms:  The larger room seats about 100, the smaller seats 44.  We can provide independent menus and serving lines for each room.
  • Food service:   Our signature food service provides tasty, nutritious food at all levels: for budget-conscious school groups or for those requesting a more festive meal.  Meals are typically served either buffet-style or family-style.  Our chefs are happy to accomodate special medical dietary requests.  We strive to use fresh ingredients in all of our cooking, and give preference to local, fresh produce when available. Fresh coffee, tea, lemonade and snacks are provided 24-hours for our own programs.
  • Private Rooms:  There is a total of 62 standard, fully private rooms in our facility.   All have private bath & shower, independent thermostat for heating or AC, a single bed, easy-chair with lamp, and a small dresser/desk with chair.  An additional wheel-chair acessible room has a full-size bed and roll-in shower. The rooms are attractive, simple, humble and clean - no more than one needs when on retreat! Additional rooms may be available in other buildings on site - see below.
  • Chapel: Our chapel, built in 1981, is a beautiful contemporary design by Bro. Mel Meyer, SM.  It easily seats about 70, and is normally set up for that size of group.  We can provide additional seating for up to 125.  It contains two welcoming Reconcilation/Meditation rooms, a sound system, a grand piano and a small pipe organ.  All seating, altar and ambo (lectern) are movable according to the needs of the group.
  • Grounds:  Our buildings are graced by 47 gorgeous acres of quiet, wooded hills.  These woods are surrounded by quiet subdivisions.  The well-kept grounds include a beautiful outdoor patio, nature trail and meditation fountain.  Outdoor devotional areas include an extensive "Way of the Cross," a thirteen-course labyrinth, Marian Grotto, and statues of Christ the King and Mary praying the "Magnificat."

Other Buildings at our Facility:

  • "The Red-Brick Building"  The upstairs houses a small day chapel for seating up to eight, and two more spacious private rooms for presenters or private retreatants.  These two rooms have full-size beds.  The downstairs has two smaller  conference rooms.  Each of the the smaller conference rooms holds about 24 people.  This building is unfortunately not wheel-chair accessible.
  • "The White-House" is a small building on site which has one small bedroom (single bed) and one larger bedroom (queen-size bed).  They share a full bath and one half-bath on the same hall, as well as a small living room which seats about eight.  A remaining room in this building is currently dedicated as the office of a full time spiritual director who practices her ministry on this site. This building does not have any stairs, but is not wheelchair accessible.
  • "The Trailer" is just that - a double-wide, fully-furnished and equipped trailer.  It has one large bedroom (full-size bed) which has a 3/4 bath and two small bedrooms which share a half-bath.  A little on the rustic side, it has a full kitchen, living room and dining room.  This building is not wheel-chair accessible.
