Recent Updates – January 26, 2016

Happy New Year!  We have made some updates which you may find useful.

Check out our video discussion theme for 2016 – “Christian & Islamic Theology”.  This is a practical step in making ourselves more aware of the great religious tradition of Islam, and stepping away from some of the inflamatory language and fearful condemnations which characterize the conversation at the moment.  Information about this “new form of book study” which spans both a Spring and Fall term is available HERE and in the Events Calendar.

Our Days of Prayer for this Spring will be on Monday February 8th and on Monday April 11th.  If you hover over the date and click on it you will find more details!  Enjoy!

Upcoming Days of Prayer

There are two days of prayer scheduled in this first part of 2016 – the first, on Monday, February 8th, led by Fr, Mark Dean, OMI, on the theme “Beauty from the Ashes – Entering Lent on the Wings of the Butterfly Circus.”  The short film, Butterfly Circus, will be shown as part of the reflection.  The second day of prayer, on April 11th, led by Bro. Pat McGee, OMI will be on the theme, “The World is Charged with the Grandeur of God.”   Using scripture and three poems of Gerard Manley Hopkins, we will reflect on how to live the resurrection in our daily lives.

Both Days of Prayer can be found in the Events List, where there is also a registration form.  May may also call the office (618) 297-0584 or (800) 779-7909 to sign up.  Fee for the day: $30.  Includes lunch and Mass.

Wishing You God’s Blessings of Love and Mercy

Happy New Year!

We have inaugurated our new retreat theme “Mercy is a Bridge,” and are “off and running” in the year 2016.  I have found myself repeating “where does the time go?” – (must be an age thing!)

Please scroll through the Events section of the site, and consider joining us for one of our retreats or programs this year.  Registration forms are coming through as they should; so, please join us as we celebrate together the blessings of God’s mercy!  You are always welcome to call or stop by.  We look forward to seeing you!
