Henri Nouwen was one of the most popular and influential spiritual thinkers of the twentieth century. The author of “The Wounded Healer”, “The Return of the Prodigal Son” and “The Life of the Beloved”
Through 12 lectures:
– Examine the context of Nouwen’s most important works
– The evolution of his ideas
– The struggles of his spirit
– Explore his life to further understand the autobiographical nature of his works.
|Dr. Michael W. Higgins, Ph.D., is the leading biographer of Henri Nouwen and Thomas Merton. He is an author, Vatican affairs specialist for the Globe and Mail and CTV Network, Catholic educator, CBC radio documentarian, scholar and administrator. He is Professor and Vice-President for Mission and Catholic Identity at Sacred Heart University. Previously, he served as the president of St. Jerome’s University in the University of Waterloo and of St. Thomas University in New Brunswick. He is the author of the bestselling biography, Genius Born of Anguish: The Life and Legacy of Henri Nouwen.
