As we continue to follow the directives coming to us for the safety of our staff and retreatants, we have extended our closure until at least April 13, 2020.
Even though we are all “sheltering in place” and remaining at least 6 feet from each other, please remember we carry all of you in our hearts.
Because of the Governor’s orders, we are working from home and not able to answer the phones. We will get back to you as soon as we are able.
As we wake up each morning to changing rules, we have come to realize that we have to take drastic actions to protect our staff and retreatants.
The risk involved with gathering together has proven to be too great for now.
We feel compelled to cancel all programs at King’s House beginning today, March 17, through March 30th.
We look so forward to sharing retreat time with you and it is painful to cancel these two retreats.
This includes all of our programs, including Taize, Spiritual Cinema, Video Study, Meditation and AA.
We will re-evaluate on March 30th, in the hope that the remainder of our spring programs can continue as planned.
Although programs are on hold, our beautiful grounds are always open for you to visit our Marian Grotto, walk our Labyrinth or to pray the Stations.
For now, please be assured of our prayers for each of you.
To help with your Lenten reflections, please join us each day via facebook for Fr. Sal’s, “You got a minute?”
Due to the closure of I-255 from I-70 to I-64 beginning in February 2020, those coming in from the Alton area or from East on I-55/70 will need to alter their routes. We have updated the directions on the “Directions” page or follow your GPS. This closure is due to be in effect until mid-Summer 2020 at which time the section from I-64 to IL-15 will be closed. We will update the directions for the fall 2020 retreats
The weekend retreat by Fr. Ron Rolheiser is full, but there is still room available for his day of prayer on June 19. We are still taking names for a waiting list for the weekend.
